Terms of Service

What this service is

Your SesameHut account is free, and it's there for one reason: to give you a single login across SesameHut's own apps. It isn't a general-purpose login service or a place to store things, it isn't a product we sell on its own, and we don't license it separately.

Your account

One account per verified email address. Keep control of that inbox, because anyone who can read it can request a sign-in code for your account.

Treat a sign-in code like a one-time key: don't forward it, don't share it, and don't paste it into a chat. We will never ask you to read one back to us.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no bulk or automated account creation, no credential stuffing or brute-forcing, no working around rate limits or security controls, no scraping, no reverse-engineering meant to attack it, and nothing that uses it to break the law against someone else. Accounts that do these things may be rate-limited, blocked, or shut down.

Availability

We try to keep SesameHut up, but there's no formal uptime guarantee. Maintenance, an upstream outage (Cloudflare, email delivery, a social provider), or an emergency security action can take it offline for a while. Since the apps lean on SesameHut to sign you in, an outage here can lock you out of them until it's back.

Termination

You can delete your account from your account page at any time. That clears your account record and active sessions; the audit records stay on, as the Privacy Policy explains.

We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these terms, threatens the security of the service, or if the law requires it. When it's reasonable to, we'll give you a heads-up first.

Intellectual property

The SesameHut software and design are ours. The data on your account stays yours: your email and the sign-in methods you've linked. Linking to SesameHut or mentioning it is welcome. Re-publishing the interface wholesale, or pointing the service at model training, needs our permission first.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

SesameHut is provided as is. We don't warrant that it will always be available, accurate, proof against any particular threat, or fit for a specific purpose. So far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or knock-on losses from your using it or being unable to use it, including losing access to apps that rely on SesameHut to sign you in.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms; the "Last updated" date at the top tracks the latest change. We'll post a notice on your account page before any significant change takes effect, and using SesameHut afterward means you accept it.
